Design Features:
Gita make ‘SD pumps are horizontal split casing horizontal shaft pumps with double suction impeller. Suction and delivery branches are cast integral with lower half casing. Inspection is easy and quick by removing upper casing and rotor assembly.
Construction Details
- Casing: Close grained cast iron ,split horizontally, delivery and suction branches cast with lower half casing. By removing top half, rotor assembly can be removed for inspection.
- Impeller: Double suction, closed impeller, machined all over, internal passages hand finished for high efficiency, dynamically balanced after mounting on shaft.
- Shaft: Sturdily designed for maximum load with adequate safely factor, ground finished and protected from liquid by sleeves.
- Impeller Neck Rings: Renewable neck rings are provided to keep suction improved, secured in lower half casing by spigot joint.
- Bearings: Antifriction grease lubricated, heavy duty ball bearings capable of carrying heavy loads in either direction for continuous operation.
- Flanges: Drilled as per BS-10 table D or other standard as per customer’s option.
- Rotation: Clockwise, looking from drive end or as per customer’s options.
